It looks like Grogu is making his movie debut, and we couldn’t be more excited. ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’, directed by Jon Favreau, the creator of The Mandalorian, has officially been confirmed and is set to start filming later this year.
No word has been released on the storyline, though we speculate it will continue where it left off in The Mandalorian Season 3. Alongside Favreau, Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm chief creative officer Dave Filoni will produce the feature, which the studio said will be the first Star Wars feature to go into production since Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
“I have loved telling stories set in the rich world that George Lucas created,” said Favreau. “The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”
We are big Grogu fans around here, so we are eager to see how the production moves along. Stay tuned for more movie news!
