The hit video game, Borderlands, is headed to the big screen
Back in 2015, Lionsgate officially announced its plans for a live-action Borderlands film and now we’re finally seeing that vision come to life with its first images and trailer.
Directed by Eli Roth, Borderlands is based on the video game of the same name, which takes place on an abandoned planet called Pandora, where people search for a mysterious relic.

What will Borderlands be about?
The film follows an infamous outlaw, Lilith, as she travels to her home of Pandora to find the missing daughter of Atlas. Lilith forms an unexpected alliance with a group of misfits and they must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may have a secret of her own.
Who’s been cast for Borderlands
Borderlands is set to have an all-star cast which includes Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hard, Jack Black, Edgar Ramírez, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Gina Gershon and Jamie Lee Curtis.
Cate Blanchett leads the cast as Lilith and Ramírez will play the all powerful Atlas. The group of misfits will include Hart as Roland, Greenblatt as Tiny Tina, Munteanu as Krieg, Curtis as Tannis, and Black as Claptrap.
The First Omen Trailer and Poster
As we said before, in 2015 Lionsgate first announced its plans to produce the Borderlands movie so this has been a long time coming. On February 22nd, we finally got the long-awaited action-packed trailer that includes the cast as they prepare for their heist which takes them through treacherous landscapes and villains.
