Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes get’s a new release date, two weeks earlier than expected

The newest installment to the Planet of the Apes, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is now set to release 2 weeks earlier than it’s original projected date.

Disney’s 20^th Century Studios announced Friday that the film will not open on May 10 instead of May 24. The move gives time between a heavy packed Memorial Day opening which includes Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and The Garfield Movie.

The move also gives Planet of the Apes priority Imax screening for the first two weeks of its release.
